My baby has recently become quite the expert dribbler and no matter how often we change his bib, his little chin and sometimes neck can become damp and sore: the nappy balm is such a wonderful gentle healing cream and owing to the oils it is also quite effective as a barrier cream too - at both ends!

organic cotton nappyFirst time parents can sometimes find all this nappy choice quite confusing, so we've outlined some of the questions we're most frequently asked to help make deciding easier. How often will I need to change my baby's nappy?

Regardless of whether you are using washables or disposables young babies need to be changed frequently. Newborn babies' skin is very immature and is sensitive to prolonged contact with faeces, urine, creams and powders. 

My baby has sensitive skin, what should I use?

Natural cotton and wool lets baby's skin breathe preventing irritation. So if your baby is sensitive pick a system that uses predominantly natural materials. 

The three Green Baby organic/eco friendly options we stock are as follows in order of cost:

Option 1 (cheapest).

Six pack organic terry nappy squares wear with the two pack easy-over-pants you need some nappi nippas to hold the square together in a nappy shape!

Option 2.

Snug-to-fit organic shaped nappy (code ORG030) and Superfit wrap (P009). 100% organic cotton flannelette.One size,birth to potty, Easy to use velcro adjustable fastenings. Cover with the Green Baby superfit wrap. Optional snug-to-fit booster pads are available for when extra absorbency is needed.

Option 3.

Beaming Baby nappies are environmentally friendly disposable nappies with premium performance, that are designed for superior comfort during an active day. These are availabe for newborn babies to toddlers. 

I won't be using a tumble dryer, how do I pick something quick drying?

Pick a natural construction nappy system with a minimum of synthetic coating as these will normally dry naturally overnight. 

I'm concerned about leaks, what should I do?

Most importantly find a nappy pant that's a good fit, then for night time or if your baby is a heavy wetter add booster pads for extra absorbency.
